As well as this, Black Diamond provided essential amenities for remote checkpoint locations in Far North and Western Queensland. In total, the project facilities accommodated more than 240 defence personnel.
  • Essentially, Black Diamond Group managed a large portion of the checkpoints in terms of delivery, commissioning, servicing and maintenance. The success of the project was measured by responsiveness time, equipment type, the cost to ADF and the services provided in order to execute the job.
  • Black Diamond’s strategically positioned depots and expertise permitted the rapid deployment of equipment to remote locations and continued support throughout the duration of the operation.

The Australian Defence Force established a task force in March of 2020 to support the national COVID-19 pandemic response. As part of the operation, ADF members were deployed to regions across Australia in roles that would provide customised support to all state and territory authorities, reinforce, amplify and expand their capacity to deal with the impacts of COVID-19.

Black Diamond Group was asked to supply various equipment and services to remote checkpoints across Far North and Western Queensland and several South East Queensland Defence sites. Within days of receiving requests, Black Diamond successfully arranged the mobilisation and commissioning of assets to support the ADF’s mission.

Over the course of the five-month operation, Black Diamond, along with supplying equipment, also provided bulk liquid waste management services, consumables and potable water for troops.

Black Diamond’s approach, flexibility and experience within the Defence sector allows for a seamless and agile response to the Australian Defence Forces’ wide range of requirements.
